The Roarin' Twenties!
As said in the last slide, Woodrow Wilson passed the 18th Amendment that enforced prohibition, now were moving into the roaring twenties. Even though people didn't get drunk as much as they did before, this lead to speakeasies and gang activity. Speakeasies were places run by the Mob where people would go to get bootleg liquor. Bootleg means the illegal sale of alcohol. |
